Howard, b 6 Feb l8 San Quentin, California, d 9 June 1954, m. Lois Totman, b 17 Dec 1900 Rio Vista, California, dan of Charles and Minnie (McCarty) Totman. After gramar school Howard worked in the bank at Rio Vista for several years. After leaving the bank he went into the dredging business in the Delta, making his headquarters in Rio Vista. Howard was Chief of the Rio Vista Volunteer Fire Department for 38 years. He also a Life Member of the Elk’s Lodge. His widow, Mrs. Lois Heringer married 3 Oct 1959, Luke Hufhines, an employee of the Dow Chemical Company.
