The web master of this sites grandfather was Joseph Heringer's brother (Peter Heringa) Peter did everything from working on the railroad to being a tug boat captain with his partner on the Sacramento River. For awhile he was Chief Commissary officer at San Quentin Prison, that is where Lawrence W.
